Professional Learning Pathway
Who is it for?

Individuals who are building foundational expertise in investment and finance and do not yet hold formal credentials, recognised qualifications or substantial professional experience in the field.

Requirements / Process
  • Complete the required ILDC-approved learning programme or recognised training from an ILDC Accredited Learning Provider
  • Meet the eligibility requirements for the CIFP Credential
  • Successfully complete the ILDC assessment process
Outcome

The Certified Investment & Finance Professional (CIFP) Credential is awarded upon successful completion of all credential requirements.

Pathway 2
Professional Recognition Pathway
Who is it for?

Professionals with demonstrated experience in investment, finance, financial planning, risk management or related disciplines who have developed their expertise through professional practice, recognised qualifications or existing credentials.

  • Demonstrate relevant professional experience aligned with the CIFP recognition requirements
  • Submit evidence of prior training, recognised qualifications, existing credentials and/or professional experience
  • Successfully complete the ILDC assessment process

Whether applying through the Professional Learning Pathway or the Professional Recognition Pathway, every applicant is evaluated against the same ILDC Global Standards, competency framework and professional recognition criteria.

The pathway establishes how eligibility is demonstrated, while the standard for awarding the credential remains consistent for every applicant. Recognition is based on demonstrated expertise in investment and finance, ethical professional practice and alignment with international financial standards.

Credential Validity & Renewal

Professional Excellence Is Continuous

The CIFP credential is valid for a period of three years from the date of award. This validity period reflects the dynamic nature of investment and finance, where regulatory frameworks, market conditions, financial instruments and professional standards continue to evolve at a significant pace.

To ensure the CIFP credential continues to represent internationally recognized standards of investment and finance expertise, credential holders are required to complete a structured renewal process at the end of each three-year cycle.
