The Certified Global Business Strategist (CGBS™) recognizes professionals who demonstrate strategic capability and expertise across global business strategy, market development, cross-cultural leadership, organizational performance and international commerce.
Applicants may qualify through one of the following pathways.
Individuals who are developing expertise in global business strategy and do not yet hold formal credentials, recognised qualifications or substantial professional experience in international business strategy or related disciplines.
- Complete the required ILDC-approved learning programme or recognised training from an ILDC Accredited Learning Provider
- Meet the eligibility requirements for the CGBS™ Credential
- Successfully complete the ILDC assessment process
The Certified Global Business Strategist (CGBS™) Credential is awarded upon successful completion of all credential requirements.
Professionals with demonstrated experience in global business strategy, international commerce, organizational leadership or related disciplines who have developed their expertise through professional practice, recognised qualifications or existing credentials.
- Demonstrate relevant professional experience aligned with the CGBS™ recognition requirements
- Submit evidence of prior training, recognised qualifications, existing credentials and/or professional experience
- Successfully complete the ILDC assessment process

To ensure the CGBS™ credential continues to represent internationally recognized standards of strategic business expertise, credential holders are required to complete a structured renewal process at the end of each three-year cycle.
