Professional Learning Pathway
Who is it for?

Professionals who are seeking to build expertise in mentoring and coaching through structured learning and professional development.

Requirements / Process
  • Complete the required ILDC-approved MentorCoach Programme or recognised training delivered by an ILDC Accredited Learning Provider
  • Meet the eligibility requirements for the CMC Credential
  • Successfully complete the ILDC assessment and professional recognition process
Outcome

The Certified MentorCoach (CMC) Credential is awarded upon successful completion of all credential requirements.

Pathway 2
Professional Recognition Pathway
Who is it for?

Professionals who have already developed expertise through mentoring and coaching practice, prior training, recognised qualifications, existing professional credentials or demonstrated experience in people development, leadership development or related disciplines.

Requirements / Process
  • Demonstrate relevant professional experience in mentoring, coaching, leadership development or people development
  • Submit evidence of prior training, recognised qualifications, existing professional credentials and/or professional experience
  • Provide supporting documentation demonstrating mentoring and coaching practice (where applicable)
  • Successfully complete the ILDC assessment and professional recognition process

Whether applying through the Professional Learning Pathway or the Professional Recognition Pathway, every applicant is evaluated against the same ILDC Global Standards, competency framework and professional recognition criteria.

The CMC™ credential is valid for a period of three years from the date of award. This validity period reflects the evolving nature of mentoring and coaching practice, where professional standards, ethical frameworks and client expectations continue to develop across global contexts.

To ensure the CMC™ credential continues to represent internationally recognized standards of mentoring and coaching excellence, credential holders are required to complete a structured renewal process at the end of each three-year cycle.
