Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: 2026  ยท  ildcouncil.com

The International Learning & Development Council (ILDC) is committed to providing clear and transparent terms regarding payments, cancellations and refunds for its services, programmes, credentials, accreditation, registrations and other offerings.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases and payments made through ildcouncil.com, unless separate terms are provided for a specific programme, service, application or agreement.

01

General Policy

Before making any payment to ILDC, users are encouraged to carefully review the relevant programme, service, credential, accreditation or application details, including applicable fees, eligibility requirements, timelines and terms.

By completing a payment, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accepted the applicable terms. Refund eligibility may vary depending on the nature of the service purchased and the stage at which a cancellation or refund request is made.

02

Credential and Application Fees

Fees paid for credential applications, assessments, professional recognition, accreditation applications, reviews or related services may be non-refundable once processing or assessment has commenced.

If an application has not yet entered the processing or assessment stage, ILDC may, at its discretion, consider a cancellation and refund request, subject to any applicable administrative or processing charges.

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval, credential issuance, accreditation or professional recognition. Fees are not automatically refundable if an application is unsuccessful, unless the applicable programme or service terms expressly state otherwise.

03

Programme, Course, Event or Registration Fees

Where ILDC offers paid programmes, courses, events, workshops, webinars or other registered activities, the applicable cancellation and refund terms may be specified on the relevant registration or payment page. Unless different terms are expressly stated for a particular offering:

  • Cancellation requests made before the applicable programme or event processing period may be considered for a refund
  • Once a programme, course, event or service has commenced, fees may be non-refundable
  • Failure to attend an event, programme, course or session does not automatically qualify for a refund
  • Partial attendance does not generally qualify for a partial refund
  • Administrative, payment gateway or transaction charges may not be refundable

Where an offering has specific cancellation terms, those terms will take precedence over this general policy.

04

Cancellation by ILDC

ILDC reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, modify or discontinue a programme, event, service or offering where reasonably necessary. This may occur due to operational requirements, insufficient registrations, technical issues, unforeseen circumstances, changes in programme availability or events beyond ILDC's reasonable control.

If ILDC cancels an offering for which a refund is applicable, eligible participants will be informed of the available options. Depending on the circumstances, ILDC may offer a replacement date, transfer to another offering, credit or refund.

05

Rescheduling and Transfers

Where applicable, ILDC may allow a participant to transfer their registration to another date, session, programme or eligible participant. Any transfer or rescheduling request must be submitted within the timeframe specified for the relevant offering. Approval of transfer or rescheduling requests is at ILDC's discretion and may be subject to availability and administrative requirements.

06

Refund Requests

To request a cancellation or refund, please contact ILDC using the details below. Refund requests should include:

  • Full name
  • Email address used during registration or payment
  • Relevant programme, service, application or transaction
  • Date of payment
  • Payment or transaction reference, where available
  • Reason for the refund or cancellation request

Requests will be reviewed based on the applicable terms and the stage of service delivery. Submitting a refund request does not automatically guarantee approval.

07

Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, ILDC will generally process the refund using the original payment method, where technically and reasonably possible. The time required for the refunded amount to appear in your account may depend on the payment provider, bank, card issuer or other financial institution. ILDC is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment providers or financial institutions after the refund has been processed by ILDC.

08

Non-Refundable Circumstances

Unless otherwise expressly stated, refunds may not be available where:

  • The service or programme has already been substantially delivered
  • An application or assessment process has commenced
  • A credential or accreditation review has been completed or substantially completed
  • The participant fails to attend a scheduled event or programme
  • The user changes their mind after the service has been delivered
  • Incorrect or incomplete information provided by the user prevents delivery of the service
  • The user violates applicable ILDC terms, policies or programme requirements
  • The payment relates to a service specifically identified as non-refundable
09

Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

If you believe that you have accidentally made a duplicate payment or were charged incorrectly, please contact ILDC as soon as possible. We will review the transaction and, where appropriate, process a correction or refund.

10

Payment Disputes

If you believe a payment has been processed incorrectly, we encourage you to contact ILDC before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback. ILDC will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve legitimate payment concerns. Unauthorised or fraudulent transactions will be investigated and handled in accordance with applicable law and payment-provider procedures.

11

Exceptions

ILDC may consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Any exception to this Refund & Cancellation Policy is at ILDC's discretion and does not create an obligation to provide the same exception in future cases. Where applicable law provides a mandatory right to cancellation, refund or withdrawal, those statutory rights will prevail over this policy.

12

Changes to This Policy

ILDC may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, payment processes, programmes or applicable legal requirements. The latest version of this policy will be made available on the ILDC website.
